Adding products to your dropshipping store starts with choosing the right store and the right upload method, whether you import one product, many products at once, or a full CSV file. This article explains which products AutoDS supports, every way to add products, how to upload products with variants, how to follow your import status, and how to fix the most common upload errors. Before you upload, confirm your supplier is supported for product uploads.
Key points about uploading products
Some product types are not supported for upload, regardless of the supplier. Customizable, bundle, digital, and minimum or maximum order quantity (MOQ) products do not map to a single SKU, so AutoDS does not import or automate them.
The store you select before uploading is where the product goes. To move a product to a different store later, delete it and upload it again from the correct store.
You can upload a single product, several products at once with URLs or IDs, or a CSV file. Hand-Picked Products and AutoDS Finder have their own flows.
Use a clean product URL from the main product page so AutoDS imports all variants and the correct product data.
Bulk uploads can be saved as drafts, published right away, or scheduled for later.
Product variants count toward your plan's variation limit, and some selling channels have their own variant restrictions.
Every upload shows a status on the Products and Drafts page. If an upload does not go through, hover over the status to see the reason and check the troubleshooting section.
Product restrictions for uploading to AutoDS
Before uploading a product, review the restrictions below to confirm it is compatible with AutoDS automation. Product uploads to AutoDS are restricted in the following categories: customizable and personalized products, bundle products, digital and intangible products, and minimum or maximum order quantities (MOQs).
These restrictions apply regardless of supplier, since none of these product types can be mapped to a specific SKU for inventory management and order fulfillment. Each restriction is explained in detail below.
Customizable and personalized products
AutoDS does not support customizable or personalized products, since they require manual input per order. This includes products where customers can add custom text, names, dates, or personalized designs, such as custom name necklaces, personalized phone cases, engraved items with customer-specified text, or products with custom embroidery or monograms.
To sell a customizable product, list it manually on your selling channel and process the order manually with your supplier. Trying to upload a customizable product returns the error: "This product is identified as customizable, which prevents it from being added to your store, as we do not support customizable products." This happens because the product's variants are infinite and cannot be mapped to specific SKUs.
Custom or branded packaging is also not supported for any supplier, including AliExpress. Items ship in the supplier's original packaging, without logos or custom elements, and most suppliers ship in unbranded packaging by default.
If you want to sell branded products with custom designs, use Print on Demand suppliers instead, which specialize in custom-printed items and integrate with AutoDS for automated fulfillment. Even with Print on Demand, only the product itself can include your branding, not the packaging.
Important: Packaging for Amazon orders is an exception. Items ship in Amazon's original packaging, and Amazon branding may appear on the box. AutoDS does not offer unbranded or custom packaging for Amazon orders.
Bundle products
AutoDS does not support bundle products, since they cannot be accurately mapped to individual SKUs. This includes "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" offers, multi-pack sets (for example, "5-Pack T-Shirts"), combo deals with multiple different products, and gift sets with assorted items.
Uploading a bundle product returns the error: "Product does not exist on the supplier website".
Tip: Focus on uploading single-unit products with standard configurations. If you want to offer bundles, create them manually on your selling channel using multiple single products.
For complete information about bundle products, why they cause order failures, and how to handle bundle orders if needed, click here.
Digital and intangible products
AutoDS does not support digital or intangible products, since automation is designed exclusively for physical products that can be shipped to a buyer. This includes eBooks and digital book editions, apps and other digital products, subscriptions and digital memberships, and gift cards and store credits.
Attempting to fulfill a digital product through Fulfilled by AutoDS (FBA) returns the error: "Intangible products such as subscriptions, digital products like apps, or gift cards are not supported".
Note: If you sell books, only physical formats such as paperback are supported. Digital formats, including Kindle and eBook editions, are not compatible with AutoDS.
Minimum or maximum order quantity (MOQ)
AutoDS is designed for single-unit dropshipping, so products with minimum or maximum order quantities are not compatible with automation. If a supplier's minimum order quantity is greater than 1 unit, AutoDS automatically sets the product to out of stock, and orders processed below the supplier's minimum quantity do not go through.
If a product's cost in AutoDS looks much higher than on the supplier's website, the supplier probably has a quantity restriction, for example, wholesale suppliers or manufacturers that require 10 or more units, sell only in cases or pallets, or limit purchases of sample items. This higher cost is a warning from AutoDS that the product is not compatible with single-unit dropshipping. It is not the product's real cost, and it is not charged to you or your buyer.
What to do if a product's cost looks too high:
Check the supplier's product page for minimum or maximum order quantity restrictions.
If the restriction was removed, the cost returns to normal at the next monitoring update, so keep the product.
If the restriction is permanent, the product is not compatible with single-unit dropshipping, and you can remove it.
Choose the correct store
Before importing any products, make sure you have selected the correct store, since it determines which selling channel receives the product.
To choose the correct store:
Click the store name at the top-left of your AutoDS account.
Select the correct store from the dropdown menu.
Click "Next" to proceed with the upload.
If you manage multiple stores across different selling channels, you can switch between them at any time before starting the upload process. Each store may have different settings, templates, and automation rules, so always verify the selected store before importing.
You can also confirm or change the destination store from within the upload window: after clicking "Add Products," the currently selected store appears next to "Publish to:", with a pencil icon beside it. Click the pencil icon to switch to a different store, even if you did not change it beforehand using the top-left store selector.
Important: Confirm the correct store is selected before importing products. To move a product you already uploaded to a different store, go to the Products page in the incorrect store, click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the product, and select "Delete". Then switch to the correct store and upload the product again.
Ways to add products
Once you select the correct store, click "Add Products" from the left sidebar. AutoDS shows several ways to add products:
Single Product: Import one product to one store.
Multiple Products / Stores: Import multiple products together.
Hand-Picked Products: Verified bestsellers to add to your store, curated through the AutoDS Product Finding Hub.
AutoDS Finder: Use the AutoDS top sellers database to import on every selling channel except Amazon stores.
Untracked Products: Add products that already exist in your store but are not yet monitored by AutoDS via the Untracked Products page. This option only appears for supported selling channels: Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Wix, and WooCommerce. It does not appear on Etsy, Facebook, or TikTok Shop.
This article covers Single Product and Multiple Products / Stores, the two methods for uploading products you source and choose yourself, referred to here as bulk import.
Upload a single product
The single product upload method lets you import one product at a time, using its clean product URL or product ID. This method works well when you want to review a specific product before adding it in bulk.
Before you start: If the product comes from the AutoDS Marketplace (its URL contains "platform.autods.com/marketplace/"), use "Import Draft" on the Marketplace page instead. If the product is from Amazon, review the Amazon ASIN requirements here.
To upload a single product:
Click "Add Products" from the left sidebar and select "Single Product".
Enter the product URL or product ID in the designated field.
Select the supplier source from the dropdown menu.
In “Ship From Warehouse”, choose the region the product ships from. It needs to be one of the warehouse regions supported for that supplier, since a region outside that list stops the upload.
Select your upload preference:
Add as Draft (simple page): Save the product to your Drafts page for editing before publishing.
Publish to Store: Upload the product directly to your selling channel, active and visible to buyers immediately.
Edit Product Page with AI: Start the AI enhancement process immediately, using 99 AI credits, on Shopify stores only.
Tip: Start with a small batch of products to test your store's automation settings before importing in bulk. This helps you adjust your configuration before scaling your uploads.
Use a clean product URL
When importing a product into AutoDS, always use the clean version of the product URL, without tracking or session parameters, that ends with ".html" or the product ID. Pasting a URL with extra parameters when importing a product can cause upload errors or import incorrect product data.
Correct URL format, AliExpress example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001234567890.html
Incorrect URL format, with parameters: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001234567890.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.abc123&algo_pvid=xyz789
Copying a URL after selecting a variant, such as a specific color or size, limits your upload to that variant only. To import all available product variants, copy the URL directly from the main product page before selecting any variant.
To get a clean URL:
Copy from the address bar, then remove everything after ".html" or the product ID.
Use the supplier's share button, when the product page has one, since it usually provides a clean link automatically.
Right-click the product title or main image and select "Copy link address".
Bulk import
Bulk import lets you upload multiple products to your store at once, saving time when building or expanding your catalog. AutoDS offers two ways to bulk import products: pasting multiple URLs or IDs, or uploading a CSV file.
Note: Processing times for bulk imports vary with batch size.
Multiple URLs or IDs
The multiple URLs or IDs method lets you paste several product URLs or IDs at once to import them together.
To bulk import using multiple URLs or IDs:
Click “Add Products” from the left sidebar and select “Multiple Products / Stores”.
Paste each product URL or ID on a new line in the text field.
Verify the supplier and warehouse region are correct, and that the warehouse region is supported for that supplier.
To publish the same batch of products to more than one store, click the pencil icon next to the store shown in "Publish to:" and add the additional stores. This option is not available when uploading a single product.
Best practices for bulk uploads
For large bulk uploads (50 or more products), split your import into smaller batches of 10-20 products each. This reduces processing errors and improves upload success rates.
eBay accounts can be flagged or restricted for reasons that include INRs (item not received), copyright, and missing or incorrect tracking. Upload volume is one additional factor to watch: uploading a very large volume of products in a short period of time may draw extra scrutiny and contribute to a review or restriction, especially when combined with other risk factors.
As a general guideline, sellers with large, established stores should limit daily uploads to 1,000 to 3,000 products. This applies across selling channels, including eBay, and is most relevant for stores with a solid selling history and strong metrics. Newer stores or stores with lower ratings should scale more gradually, regardless of the channel.
CSV file upload
The CSV file method lets you upload multiple products using a spreadsheet, useful when migrating from another platform or importing a large inventory.
To upload products using a CSV file:
Click "Add Products" from the left sidebar and select "Multiple Products / Stores".
Select the “Upload CSV” tab.
Optionally, download the example CSV file to see the correct format.
Prepare your CSV file with the following columns:
Upload your CSV file and follow the prompts to match fields.
Once the upload completes, the products appear on your Drafts page.
When uploading a CSV file, split large inventories into smaller files to reduce processing delays.
Important: The CSV file must include the BuyId column. If this column is missing or incorrectly formatted, the upload does not go through. The Title and Price columns are optional and can be used to override default values.
Import a CSV from other platforms
If you are migrating from another monitoring tool, or from your selling channel directly, you can import your existing listings into AutoDS using a CSV file.
Migrating from another monitoring tool:
Request an export of your listings in CSV format from your previous tool.
Edit the file to match AutoDS formatting (BuyId required, Title and Price optional).
Upload the file using the CSV method described above.
Migrating from eBay:
If you have existing eBay listings you want to monitor in AutoDS, export them directly from eBay and import them via CSV.
To export listings from your eBay store:
Go to your active listings page in Seller Hub.
Click "Customize table".
Enable the Custom Label field.
Check the Custom Label column for source IDs. If you see source IDs, proceed with the export below. If the column displays "Add" instead, request the export file from your previous monitoring tool instead.
On the active listings page, click "Reports".
Click "Get template".
Set the template source to Listings.
Select the template type "Edit price and quantity".
Download the file.
Adjust the file to match the BuyId, Title, and Price columns AutoDS expects.
Upload the file to AutoDS using the CSV method.
Note: When migrating from eBay, the Custom Label field carries the source IDs needed to connect your listings to suppliers in AutoDS. Without this information, you will need to manually add source URLs for each product. It is not possible to import an external store's full catalog at once: bulk import in AutoDS always requires individual product URLs or IDs, or a CSV file with one product per row.
Upload options for multiple products
When uploading multiple products, using either method above, the same upload options are available at the bottom of the window. Click the arrow next to "Add As Draft" to see all options:
Add As Draft: Save the products to your Drafts page for review and editing before publishing. Recommended when you want to optimize product details, verify pricing, or customize descriptions before going live.
Create and Publish: Upload products directly to your selling channel using your configured Lister and Pricing Settings. Recommended for products that do not need editing when you trust your automation settings.
Schedule for later: Set a specific date and time for the upload to run automatically. Useful for planning campaigns, coordinating with promotions, or spacing out uploads over time.
Edit Upload Settings: Customize advanced settings that control how the products are processed before upload.
Schedule a bulk upload for later
Scheduling an upload lets you plan when products are added to your store, useful for coordinating campaigns, managing peak hours, or spreading out uploads over specific time frames.
To schedule products for a later upload:
Click the arrow next to "Add As Draft" and select "Schedule for later".
Select the day for the upload. You can choose today or any future date.
Select the time from the dropdown menu. Uploads can be scheduled in 30-minute intervals.
Click "Next" to confirm the schedule.
The products are added to Drafts → Scheduled, in the left sidebar, and a confirmation notification appears.
Important: The time you select uses your own time zone. If a Virtual Assistant (VA) is working on your account, they see the scheduled time converted to their own time zone. Confirm the time zone conversion to avoid uploads at an unintended time.
View and manage scheduled uploads
To view and manage a scheduled upload:
Click the link in the confirmation notification, or go to Drafts → Scheduled from the left sidebar.
Items are listed by their scheduled upload date and time.
Click the arrow icon to expand a scheduled upload and edit details such as title, images, pricing, quantity, or other attributes.
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) to change the scheduled date and time, import the product immediately instead of waiting, or delete the scheduled upload.
Tip: Scheduling product uploads helps you plan them around campaigns, peak shopping hours, or seasonal events. You can also use scheduled uploads to maintain consistent store activity by spreading out product additions over time.
Edit upload settings before a bulk import
Clicking "Edit Upload Settings" opens a screen where you can customize advanced settings that control how products are processed before the upload completes.
Stage | What you configure |
Products | Add or remove products from the batch, and change the supplier or region for all selected products. |
General Settings | Use your saved default settings for this store and supplier, or set a template, a Shopify collection, a price range, and stock, price, and order monitoring individually. |
Supplier Settings | Configure advanced supplier options in Advanced Lister Settings, such as Allow Duplicates and Upload Variations. If Upload Variations is disabled, the products upload as single-variant products. |
Pricing | Use your saved default pricing settings, apply an automation rule, review the price calculation chart, enter marketplace and payment processing fees, and set your profit as a fixed amount, a percentage, or both, with optional Dynamic Profit by price range. |
Shipping | Use your saved default shipping settings, select the shipping method AutoDS monitors from the supplier site, and choose the source country and display city for the item. |
Note: Reviewing the upload settings before importing gives you control over pricing, monitoring, and shipping for the batch. Using your default settings applies your saved preferences and locks the fields for a faster upload.
How to upload products with variants
AutoDS supports uploading and managing products with multiple variants, such as size, color, or model, from supported suppliers. Variants let you offer different options for the same product within a single listing, creating a more professional shopping experience for your buyers.
Example: a product with two attributes, Color and Size, each with four options, results in 16 variants (4 colors × 4 sizes).
Before uploading, check the product's attributes on the supplier's website. On AliExpress, for example, they appear directly below the product price.
In AutoDS, you can view a product's attributes in the Variants tab of the product page.
Buy ID and SKU per variant
AutoDS displays a Buy ID for each variant, used internally for tracking and syncing with the supplier. This is not the same as the SKU shown on your selling channel. To find the SKU of a specific variant, check it directly on your selling channel, for example, the Shopify product page or the eBay Seller Hub.
Important: Confirm the total number of variants across your account stays within your plan limit. Upgrade to a higher-tier plan in advance if needed, since exceeding the limit disrupts automation for your listings.
Upload Variations and Split Variants into Products settings
To upload variants by default, enable Upload Variations in Settings → Supplier Settings → select the supplier → Lister → Advanced Lister Settings.
To list each variant, for example, each color or size, as its own separate product in your store instead, enable Split Variants into Products in the same Advanced Lister Settings menu.
After you upload a product with variants, edit each variant individually from the product's page.
Note: Split Variants into Products only applies to newly uploaded products. To apply it to products already imported to AutoDS, remove them from the Products page and re-import them with the setting enabled. To keep all variants grouped under a single product listing instead, go to Settings → Supplier Settings, select the supplier, open Lister → Advanced Lister Settings, and turn off Split Variants into Products. Repeat this for each supplier whose variants you want to keep grouped.
Note: When you import a product, the order of variation options, such as Color and Size, matches the product’s configuration on the supplier’s website, so the order may differ from product to product.
After import, you can reorder variation keys and values in the Edit Variations Options panel of the product’s Variants tab.
Selling channel restrictions for variants
Some selling channels have their own restrictions or particularities for variants at upload time, separate from the general behavior described above. The table below summarizes each one.
Selling channel | Variant restriction or particularity at upload |
Variants are not supported within a single listing. Each variant needs its own unique ASIN and must be imported as a separate product.
No fixed limit on the number of variants. Publishing a listing with more than one variant requires an eBay seller subscription that supports multi-variation listings; otherwise, eBay shows the error “You can’t have item variations in a single listing”.
Several sync and validation errors are also specific to variants, for example, attribute order affecting the displayed image. Learn more here.
A product supports a maximum of 100 variants and 3 option types (for example, Size, Color, and Material), and each variant requires a SKU.
A product supports a maximum of 300 variants. During import, only one variant can carry an image; add the remaining variant images after the product is published.
Variants are fully supported, with no additional restrictions.
On Facebook Marketplace, variants are imported through a semi-manual flow. After upload, edit variants directly on Facebook Marketplace, since AutoDS updates only the product price for Facebook Marketplace listings.
Variants are fully supported, with no additional restrictions.
Each variant’s height and width must be greater than 0 and entered in inches; otherwise, the import does not go through. |
Important: For all selling channels except Amazon and Facebook Marketplace, the Upload Variations setting determines whether a product uploads with its variants. Amazon does not support variants within a single listing regardless of this setting, and Facebook Marketplace follows its own semi-manual process.
Import status progress
After you submit an upload in AutoDS, each product shows a status label on the Products and Drafts page, indicating whether the import succeeded or needs your attention.
Status | What it means | What to do |
Import in progress | The system is currently importing the product. This can take up to 30 minutes when importing a large number of products. | Product imports typically complete within a few minutes. Do not re-upload the same products while the import is still in progress, since this may create duplicates or errors. If the drafts remain stuck after 1 to 2 hours, remove them from the Drafts page and re-import. If they remain stuck overnight, please let us know and include a screenshot of your Drafts page showing the stuck items. |
Imported successfully | The product was imported without errors and is ready for editing or publishing. | Edit the draft or publish it directly to your store. |
Failed to import | The upload did not complete. | Hover over the status label to see the exact reason, for example "Internal error in the application." Check the troubleshooting section below to see if your error is covered, and follow the steps outlined. If the error persists, please let us know, together with a screenshot of the error message and details about the product. |
Note: If imports seem slow with no error status shown, this is expected during periods of high system load. Processing time varies depending on batch size and system queue. Wait at least 30 minutes before taking any action on a pending import. If an import job shows as completed but displays 0 products imported and "No Data," this may be due to a temporary glitch during the import; no error label appears, and no products are added to your Drafts page. You can try importing the products again; most re-imports complete successfully. If the import still shows 0 products, please let us know, together with a screenshot of the import results and the product link.
Tools to support your product uploads
AutoDS provides additional tools that support your upload workflow, beyond the upload methods themselves.
AutoDS Helper (Chrome Extension): Import a product with one click directly from the supplier's website, without copying the URL manually.
AutoDS Claude MCP connector: Search products, import them to your draft list, and publish listings using natural-language requests to Claude, instead of navigating the AutoDS platform manually.
Product templates: Apply a saved template to new uploads on eBay stores, to keep formatting and content structure consistent across listings.
AutoDS AI tools: Generate product titles, descriptions, and marketing assets for your uploads.
Copyright and VeRO protection: Check uploaded products against blocked keywords and VeRO-protected terms before they go live.
Troubleshooting for product uploads
If you see an error message when uploading a product to AutoDS, check the causes and steps below.
"Failed to import" or "Failed update save"
This error usually comes up during product import. Hover over the status label to view the specific reason.
The same error can appear across several of these scenarios. The list below shows possible causes, not a confirmed diagnosis for every case.
Common causes include:
Unsupported supplier or warehouse region: The supplier, or the warehouse region the product ships from, is not on the supported suppliers list.
AutoDS Marketplace URL pasted directly: The product URL belongs to the AutoDS Marketplace (platform.autods.com/marketplace/) and was pasted into the URL or product ID field, instead of being imported using Import Draft from the Marketplace page itself.
Blocked keywords: The product contains blocked keywords.
Incomplete or inaccessible URL: The product URL is incorrect, incomplete, or not accessible.
Duplicate product: The product already exists in your AutoDS account.
Out of stock: The product is out of stock.
Store connection: The store registered to AutoDS is disconnected or needs a token renewal.
Missing required information: The product is missing required information, for example, categories.
To resolve it:
Check the supplier and warehouse region first: If a product import keeps failing, confirm that both the supplier and the warehouse region the product ships from are on the supported suppliers list. A warehouse region outside that supplier’s list stops the import, even when other products from the same supplier import correctly.
Delete the draft and re-import the product.
If the product's URL contains platform.autods.com/marketplace/, do not delete and re-import it by URL. Go back to the AutoDS Marketplace and click Import Draft instead.
If the product already exists in your account and you still want to upload it, enable Allow Duplicates in Advanced Lister Settings to bypass the restriction.
If the product is out of stock, try another supplier, enable Allow OOS Variations in Advanced Lister Settings, wait for the next AutoDS scan, or use the AutoDS Sourcing Service.
If you followed all the steps above and the import still does not go through, please let us know.
"Product import to your store(s) has failed. Your application has exceeded the usage limit on this call. Please make a call to the Developer."
Error message: "Product import to your store(s) has failed. Your application has exceeded the usage limit on this call. Please make a call to the Developer."
This means your eBay API connection reached its daily or hourly call limit. This limit is set by eBay, applies to all eBay API accounts, and is not specific to your account or plan. Renewing your eBay token does not change it.
To resolve it:
Wait a few hours and try again. The limit resets automatically, which can take up to 24 hours.
Avoid bulk actions while the limit is active.
If it persists after 24 hours, please let us know.
See the eBay common errors and solutions article for the full list of affected actions.
"Product import to your store(s) has failed. The requested resource is not available."
Error message: "Product import to your store(s) has failed. The requested resource is not available."
This can be caused by any of the following: the product is unavailable on the supplier's side; the product URL is incorrect or no longer accessible; the supplier is not supported; the store connected to AutoDS is unavailable or not properly registered; or a temporary technical error is affecting the import. Because more than one condition can trigger this message, the exact cause cannot be confirmed without additional checks.
To resolve it:
Open the product link directly on the supplier's website to confirm it is available.
Use a clean, complete product URL, avoiding variation-specific links or extra parameters.
Confirm the supplier is on the supported suppliers list.
Confirm your store is registered correctly in AutoDS; resync it or delete and re-register it if needed.
"Product import to your store(s) has failed. Can only specify a maximum of 3 options."
Error message: "Product import to your store(s) has failed. ['input', 'productOptions']: Can only specify a maximum of 3 options." Shopify supports a maximum of three variation options per product, for example, Size, Color, and Material.
To resolve it:
Create the product manually in Shopify using up to three variation options.
Publish it in your Shopify store.
Connect it to AutoDS using Untracked Products, so AutoDS can monitor and manage it.
"Product import to your store(s) has failed. Store ID [ID] doesn't exist in AutoDS."
Error message: "Product import to your store(s) has failed. Store ID [ID] doesn't exist in AutoDS."
This means the store ID for this import is no longer connected to your AutoDS account, usually because that store was deleted from AutoDS and a new one was connected. An open tab may still hold the outdated store information.
To resolve it:
Refresh the page.
Log out and back into AutoDS.
Confirm the store you want to import to is currently connected, and retry the import.
If it persists, please let us know.
"Having Trouble Fetching Product Details" (Walmart US only)
AutoDS was not able to retrieve product data from Walmart. This can be caused by a temporary error. If you see this error importing Walmart products, please let us know so our team can investigate.
"DidntGetImagesInTimeError: Could not load image after 7 tries"
This is an image-processing conflict during import, often triggered when the watermark option is enabled.
To resolve it:
Go to Settings → Supplier Settings → Lister → Advanced Lister Settings.
Uncheck Apply Watermark and click “Save”.
Delete the draft.
Re-import the product and retry.
"HTTPConnectionPool... Max retries exceeded... Connection refused"
This is a temporary connection error that happens when the image retrieval service is momentarily unavailable. It typically resolves on its own. Wait a few minutes and try importing the product again. If it persists after a few attempts, please let us know.
"NoneType object is not subscriptable"
This error is typically caused by a temporary system error or a synchronization gap between your store and AutoDS.
To resolve it:
Clear your browser's cookies and cache (select "all time").
Try again in a different browser or in incognito mode.
Dismiss any previous upload notifications and retry uploading products in smaller batches.
Confirm you selected the correct supplier and warehouse before uploading.
Renew your token and resync the store to ensure it is in sync.
If it persists, this may be temporary system congestion; wait and retry later.
If it still persists, please let us know so our team can investigate.
"Your account has too many items being processed (limit: 5000)"
AutoDS limits the number of items that can be processed simultaneously per account to 5,000. This is a permanent, system-wide limit that applies to all accounts and reduces strain on the system during bulk actions.
Wait for your account's current actions to finish processing before submitting another bulk action.
If the error you are seeing is not covered above, or the steps here do not resolve it, please let us know and share: clear screenshots of the issue, ideally full screen; the product link and supplier name; a short description of what happened; the date and time, including your time zone; and any related IDs or error messages you have. This helps our team review the case and identify the cause.
Product upload blocked by your plan’s variation limit
A product upload can be blocked by your plan’s variation limit even when the Variations field on your plan card shows that you have not reached the limit yet. This happens when the product you are importing has more variants than the variations still available on your plan, and the error message shows how many variants the product is over the limit.
To upload the product, choose one of the following options:
Import the product as a draft, remove the variants you do not need on the Drafts page, and then publish it to your store. Variations saved as drafts do not count toward your plan’s variation limit.
Delete existing products or variations to free up variations, and then upload the product again. The Variations field can take up to 24 hours to update after you delete products.
Upgrade to a plan with a greater variation limit.
To check how many variations you have left, go to Settings → Plans & Add-ons and compare the used and total values in the Variations field on your plan card. Learn how variations are counted and what happens when you reach the limit.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What happens to my uploaded products if I downgrade my AutoDS plan?
What happens to my uploaded products if I downgrade my AutoDS plan?
Each AutoDS plan has a variation limit, the maximum number of active product variations your account can hold for that selling channel. If you downgrade to a plan with a lower variation limit than the number of variations you have, stock and price monitoring pauses, and new product uploads are blocked until you remove products or upgrade your plan. Before downgrading, check the Variations field on your plan card in Settings → Plans & Add-ons, and remove products if your usage exceeds the new plan's limit. Learn more about variation limits here.
Can I search for products using images?
Can I search for products using images?
To find a product by image before uploading it, search by image on the supplier’s website, then bring the product URL back to AutoDS to import it. In the AutoDS Sourcing Service, you can also use the Select image to search option on a sourcing request’s results to get more results based on a specific product image. Learn how here.
