Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What is an ASIN?
A: ASIN stands for Amazon Standard Identification Number. It’s Amazon’s unique ID used to manage and organize product listings. It helps buyers and sellers find related items, keeps product details accurate and consistent, and is crucial for dropshipping and syncing product data with Amazon’s system.
Q: What should I do if a product has no ASIN on Amazon?
A: Search for a comparable product on Amazon and choose one that already has an ASIN. Using a valid ASIN ensures smoother product uploads and monitoring, even when sourcing from other suppliers like AliExpress.
Q: How do I work with product variations?
A: Each product variation on Amazon has its own ASIN. When uploading variations from suppliers (e.g., AliExpress), enter the correct ASIN for each variation. Some suppliers may not display individual Buy IDs for every variant, which can make full variation uploads more difficult. To find a Buy ID or ASIN, check the product’s URL on the supplier’s website.
If you want to easily find the Buy ID for each product on the supplier website, you can use the AutoDS Helper Extension or check the product URL.
