AI Product Page Templates: Create and Manage Content for Your Store

Prerequisites

Before creating your AI Product Page Template, make sure:

  • You’re connected to a Shopify store
  • You have enough AI description credits (visible inside the editor)
  • You understand that credits are not refundable after template generation

⚠️ Important: Credits used to generate templates are non-refundable, even if the template is later deleted.

Add Product Page

You can use the AI enhancement when adding a new product to your store. This option allows you to decide whether to publish, save, or enhance your product page before it goes live.

  1. Go to the Add Product page in AutoDS.

  2. Choose one of the three options:

    • Publish to Store – adds the product directly to your connected store.
      ⚠️ You’ll see an alert: “Are you sure you want to lose the AI Option?”

    • Save as Simple Draft – saves a basic draft without AI enhancement.
      ⚠️ You’ll see the same alert message.

    • Enhance with AI (99 credits) – starts the AI enhancement immediately.

  3. If you select Enhance with AI, 99 credits are deducted instantly.

  4. The enhanced product is added to your Drafts, showing a progress bar until ready.

 

 

Marketplace / Handpicked / Trending Products 

You can also use AI enhancement when importing products from the Marketplace, Handpicked, or Trending pages. This helps you quickly improve listings before adding them to your store.

  1. Go to the Marketplace, Handpicked, or Trending section.

  2. Choose between the following options:

    • Import & Edit Manually – imports the product as a draft for manual editing.
      ⚠️ You’ll see an alert: “Are you sure you want to lose the AI Option?”

    • Import & Enhance with AI (99 credits) – starts the AI enhancement immediately.

  3. 99 credits are deducted once selected.

  4. The enhanced product appears in your Drafts after processing.

  5. If you don’t have enough credits, AutoDS will redirect you to the purchase screen before continuing automatically.

 

Draft List

You can enhance existing drafts directly from the Drafts page. The system automatically deducts 99 credits once the enhancement starts.

Enhance With AI

  1. Go to the Drafts page in AutoDS.

  2. Click Enhance With AI on the top bar or from the selected product.

  3. 99 credits are deducted immediately once you confirm the action.

  4. The enhancement begins automatically, and a progress bar shows the status in real time.

AI Button

  1. On the Drafts page, locate the AI Button next to each draft.

  2. The button displays “Amount due: 99 credits.”

  3. Click it to start the AI enhancement process.

  4. If you don’t have enough credits, you’ll be redirected to the purchase screen before continuing.

  5. Once started, the enhancement runs automatically.

  6. The button is hidden if the product was already enhanced.

  7. Selecting a non-AI action (such as manual edit or publish) will trigger an alert: “Are you sure you want to lose the AI Option?”

 


Apply for published products

You can generate templates directly from the Products page for existing published products.

  1. Navigate to the Products page.

  2. Select the product you want to enhance.

  3. Click Edit Product Page With AI.

  4. After that, just follow the same steps described earlier for drafts.

 

How to delete a template

You can delete the template if you're unsatisfied with the AI-generated content and wish to revert to your original product details. Keep in mind that:

  • You can only edit the content after saving it.
  • If you delete the template, it will revert to the previous title and description.
  • Credits will not be refunded after deletion, and credits will be used to generate the template one more time.
  • You can also use the option “Delete the Template & Use Default Description” to discard the AI content and return to the original product data.

Step-by-step 

  1. Access the Generated Product Page.
  2. Got to the Product Page section. 
  3. Click Delete the Template & Use Default Description.
  4. Confirm deletion or cancel it. 

 


AI content manually for non-compatible Shopify themes

If your Shopify theme doesn’t support AI templates:

  1. Generate content as usual.

  2. Instead of applying a template, insert the AI-generated content directly into the description field.

  3. Save your edits before publishing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What happens if I delete a generated template?
 A: The original product description and title will be restored. However, AI credits used will not be refunded.

Q: Can I edit the AI-generated content before saving it?
 A: No. You must save the content first before editing.

Q: How does the “Insert AI Content into Description” option work?
 A: This option is for Shopify themes that don’t support templates. It lets you enhance product descriptions without changing the theme structure.

Q: Do edits made in Shopify sync with AutoDS?
A: No. Any edits made directly in Shopify will only appear on Shopify and will not sync back to AutoDS.

We recommend editing your product details directly in AutoDS instead of Shopify to ensure your changes are correctly reflected and synced.
