How the Program Works
If you’re an eligible US-based eBay seller, you’ll be automatically enrolled (no opt-in required) in the eBay International Shipping (EIS) program.
Here are a few key things to know:
- Default Shipping Option
EIS becomes your default international shipping method if no other international options are set on your listings. - Buyer Shipping Choice
If you offer manual international shipping, buyers can choose between your options and EIS. - Using Only EIS
To make EIS the only option, you’ll need to remove any other international shipping services from your listings. - Domestic Shipping Hub
When an international sale is made, eBay will notify you and provide the domestic shipping hub address. - eBay Handles the Rest
Just ship the item to the hub—eBay manages international delivery, customs, tracking, and returns from that point on.
There, you’ll find everything about:
- Shipping & tracking
- Handling combined orders
- Managing shipping exclusions
- List of eligible countries
- Restricted items and categories
- Returns and refunds
- Fees and charges
- How to opt out of the program
Overseas Warehouse Block Policy
Effective April 1, 2025, eBay has implemented the Overseas Warehouse Block Policy. Sellers with accounts registered in certain countries must obtain approval to ship items from warehouses located outside their registered country. This policy aims to ensure a positive experience for international buyers.
Key Points:
- Approval Required: Sellers must apply for authorization to use overseas warehouses.
- Evaluation Period: Accounts with a strong selling history between July 1, 2024, and April 1, 2025, may be granted authorization.
- Affected Countries: A comprehensive list of countries subject to this policy is available on eBay's official page.
For more details, please refer to eBay's Overseas Warehouse Block Policy.
