Change subscription payment method, view invoices, and check your plan

Learn how to update your subscription payment method, view your subscription invoices and payment history, check active discounts and credits, verify your current subscription plan, and set up the AutoDS Wallet.

This article explains how to update your subscription payment method, view your subscription invoices and payment history, check active discounts and credits, verify your current subscription plan, and set up the AutoDS Wallet.

Key points about managing your billing

  • Your AutoDS billing settings are located across two pages. SettingsAccount & Billing is where you update your subscription payment method, view your subscription invoices and payment history, and check active discounts or credits on your account. SettingsPlans & Add-ons is where you view your current subscription plans and selling channels.

  • AutoDS accepts credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal as subscription payment methods. Payoneer is also available as an alternative subscription payment method and works best when used with the AutoDS Wallet for international payments and currency conversion.

  • When AutoDS charges a subscription via Payoneer, the payment is taken from your Payoneer balance first. If the Payoneer balance is insufficient, the charge is drawn from the funding source connected to your Payoneer account. When AutoDS charges a subscription via PayPal, the payment is taken from your PayPal balance first. If the PayPal balance is insufficient, the charge is automatically drawn from the funding source connected to your PayPal account, such as a linked bank account or card. A pre-loaded PayPal balance is not required.

  • Your subscription payment history in SettingsAccount & Billing shows all subscription and add-on charges. Order-related invoices, such as Fulfilled by AutoDS (FBA) and Auto-Order transaction records, are located in Managed Balance"Download invoices". Learn more about order invoices in Automate your orders with Fulfilled by AutoDS (FBA).

  • If a scheduled subscription payment fails, your AutoDS account is placed on hold until the outstanding balance is settled. While on hold, automation and order fulfillment are paused, but your data is preserved. Update your subscription payment method and allow up to 12 hours for the payment to be processed.

  • To stop future subscription charges, cancel or pause your account before your next billing date. For step-by-step instructions, see Pause your account or cancel your AutoDS subscription.

How to update your subscription payment method

You can change the credit card, debit card, PayPal, or Payoneer account used to pay for your AutoDS subscription at any time. To update your subscription payment method:

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar of your AutoDS account.

  2. Click Account & Billing.

  3. In the "Account Details" section, click "Edit" next to your current payment method.

  4. A "Payment Method" pop-up appears with three tabs: "Debit/Credit Card", "PayPal", and "Payoneer". Select the tab for the payment method you want to use.

    • Debit/Credit Card: enter your Card number, expiry date (MM/YY), CVC/CVV, Cardholder Name, Country, and Zip Code.

    • Payoneer: connect your Payoneer account by following the steps in the "What is the AutoDS Wallet" section of this article.

  5. Click "Save" to confirm the change.

What happens when a subscription payment fails

If a scheduled subscription payment fails, your AutoDS account is placed on hold. While your account is on hold:

  • Order fulfillment and automation stop immediately.

  • Price and stock monitoring are paused.

  • Your data, stores, products, and settings are preserved.

  • Support team access to review your account and run tests is suspended.

Troubleshooting: subscription payment declined

There are several common reasons why a subscription payment may be declined:

  • Insufficient funds: the card or account does not have enough funds to cover the subscription charge.

  • Expired card: the credit or debit card used for the subscription has passed its expiry date.

  • Incorrect billing details: the card number, expiry date, CVC/CVV, cardholder name, or billing address entered does not match the details on file with your bank.

  • Card type not supported: prepaid cards and some virtual cards are not accepted as subscription payment methods on AutoDS.

  • Bank security block: your bank may have flagged the charge as suspicious and blocked the transaction. Contact your bank to authorize the charge and then retry the payment.

  • Payment processor limit: your card or account may have reached a daily or monthly transaction limit set by your bank or payment processor.

If your subscription payment method is declined, try the following steps:

  1. Verify that the card or account has sufficient funds.

  2. Check that the card has not expired and that the billing details are correct.

  3. Try a different subscription payment method (credit card, debit card, PayPal, or Payoneer).

  4. If multiple subscription payment methods are declined, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your billing details.

To update your subscription payment method in AutoDS and reactivate your account:

  1. Go to SettingsAccount & Billing.

  2. Click "Edit" next to your current payment method.

  3. Enter the details for your new subscription payment method.

  4. Click "Save" to confirm the change.

  5. Allow up to 12 hours for the payment to be processed and your account to reactivate.

If the payment still does not go through after 12 hours, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your account.

How to update your tax details

If tax is applied to your account and you are eligible for an exemption (VAT ID, ABN, GST number, or QST number), you can update your details at any time.

To update your tax details:

  1. Go to Settings in your AutoDS account.

  2. Click "Account & Billing".

  3. Click "Edit" next to "Payment Method".

  4. In the payment method pop-up, update your country and enter your applicable tax details (VAT ID, ZIP code, Province, ABN, or GST/QST number).

  5. Save your changes. Tax will be recalculated based on your updated information from your next billing cycle.

Note: Tax changes take effect from your next billing cycle. No retroactive adjustments are made to past invoices.

How to read your subscription invoice

Each subscription invoice includes the following details:

  • Payment Method: the payment processor used for the transaction (for example, Stripe).

  • Transaction Number: the unique identifier for the transaction, used for reference when contacting support.

  • Item: the specific subscription plan or add-on charged (for example, "TikTok Subscription Payment For Package Import 200").

  • Price: the amount charged for that item.

  • Currency: the currency used for the transaction (for example, USD).

  • VAT: the tax rate applied to the transaction. If your account is VAT-exempt, this field displays "0% EXEMPT". If VAT applies, the field displays the applicable tax rate and the VAT amount is included in the total.

  • Total: the total amount charged, including any applicable taxes.

If a charge appears that you do not recognize, check the "Item" field to identify which subscription plan or add-on generated the charge. Add-on charges appear as separate subscription invoices from your subscription plan charges. If you have questions about a specific charge, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your billing details.

How to check active discounts and credits on your subscription

If you have any active discounts, coupon codes, or credits applied to your AutoDS subscription or add-ons, you can view them in your billing settings. To check your active discounts and credits:

How to check your current subscription plan

You can view your active subscription plans, selling channels, and usage details in your account settings. To check your current subscription plan:

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar of your AutoDS account.

  2. Click Plans & Add-ons.

  3. In the "My Plans" section, you can see a card for each selling channel you have subscribed to.

Each subscription plan card displays the following details:

  • Selling channel: the selling channel associated with the subscription plan (for example, eBay, Shopify, or TikTok Shop).

  • Subscription tier: the plan tier and product variation limit (for example, "Advanced 8K").

  • Plan price: the monthly or annual price for the subscription plan.

  • Started on: the date the subscription plan was activated.

  • Variations usage: the number of product variations currently in use compared to the plan limit (for example, 8/8,000).

If you have multiple selling channels, each one has its own subscription plan card. Add-on cards are displayed separately below your subscription plan cards. To upgrade, downgrade, or switch your subscription plan, see Upgrade, downgrade, or switch your AutoDS subscription plan article.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What subscription payment methods does AutoDS accept?

AutoDS accepts credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal as subscription payment methods. Payoneer is also available as an alternative subscription payment method and works best when used with the AutoDS Wallet for international payments and currency conversion. A pre-loaded PayPal balance is not required. When AutoDS charges a subscription via PayPal, the payment is taken from your PayPal balance first. If the PayPal balance is insufficient, the charge is automatically drawn from the funding source connected to your PayPal account, such as a linked bank account or card.

Why was my subscription payment declined?

If none of the above apply, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your billing details.

My subscription payment method was declined. What should I do?

If your subscription payment method is declined, try the following steps:

  1. Verify that the card or account has sufficient funds.

  2. Check that the card has not expired and that the billing details are correct.

  3. Try a different subscription payment method (credit card, debit card, PayPal, or Payoneer).

  4. If multiple subscription payment methods are declined, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your billing details.

While your subscription payment is pending, your AutoDS account is placed on hold and automation is paused.

I updated my card but the subscription payment did not go through. What should I do?

After updating your subscription payment method, allow up to 12 hours for the system to process the payment. If the payment still does not go through after 12 hours, try setting the new card as your default subscription payment method in SettingsAccount & Billing, or try a different subscription payment method. If the issue persists, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your account.

Where can I find my subscription invoices?

Your subscription invoices are located in SettingsAccount & Billing under the "Payment History" section. Each subscription invoice shows the payment method, transaction number, item description, price, currency, VAT, and total amount. Order-related invoices, such as Fulfilled by AutoDS (FBA) transaction records, are located in Managed Balance"Download invoices".

I was charged after canceling my subscription. What should I do?

If a charge appears after canceling your AutoDS subscription, it may be a previously scheduled payment that was processed before the cancellation took effect, or an add-on charge that was billed separately from your subscription plan. Check the "Item" field in your subscription invoice under SettingsAccount & Billing"Payment History" to identify the charge. If you believe the charge is incorrect, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your billing details.

Can I change the subscription payment method used for a refund?

Refunds are processed to the original subscription payment method used for the transaction. If the original card or account is no longer available, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can review your case and explore alternative options.

What is the AutoDS Wallet and do I need it to pay for my subscription?

The AutoDS Wallet is an optional financial management feature powered by Payoneer that allows you to receive payments, move funds, and convert currencies from within AutoDS. You do not need the AutoDS Wallet to pay for your AutoDS subscription. Credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal are the recommended subscription payment methods. The AutoDS Wallet is most useful for dropshipping business expenses and international payments.

Why is my bill higher than a previous month?

If your bill is higher than a previous billing cycle, the most common causes are:

  • A promotional discount has expired: Promotional discounts (for example, those applied through a coupon or affiliate link at registration, or granted by the AutoDS team) are active for a fixed number of billing cycles. When the promotional period ends, your subscription plans and any discounted add-ons are charged at their standard undiscounted rates. To check whether a discount is currently active on your account, go to SettingsAccount & Billing and click "View your active discounts" under the Payment History section. If no discounts are listed, your account is being charged at the standard rate.

  • An add-on was enabled: If you or a team member enabled a new add-on (such as Product Finding Hub, Orders Processor, or VA Users), the add-on charge will appear on your next invoice in addition to your subscription plan. Check your active add-ons under Settings"Plans & Add-ons".

  • Tax was applied to your account: If you updated your payment method to a debit or credit card, or changed your billing country, tax may now apply to your purchases. Check the tax line item on your invoice for details.

  • Your billing cycle changed: If you switched from an annual to a monthly billing cycle, the monthly rate is higher than the per-month equivalent of the annual rate.

To compare two billing periods side by side, check your transaction history in Settings → Account & Billing. Each charge is listed with its date, item, and amount, so you can identify exactly which line items changed between cycles.

If you have questions about a specific charge or want a full breakdown of what changed, please let us know so we can review your billing details.

I cannot see a recent payment in my payment history.

A recent subscription payment may not appear in your payment history immediately. Payments can take up to 24 hours to be reflected under SettingsAccount & Billing. If a payment still does not appear after 24 hours, please let us know so the AutoDS support team can check your account.

The plan selection page appears even though I already paid for a subscription.

The plan selection page may appear after signing up and paying for a subscription if you are logged into a different AutoDS account than the one associated with your payment. To verify and fix:

  1. Check which email address you are currently logged in with (visible in the top-right corner of your AutoDS account).

  2. Log out of your current account.

  3. Log in using the email address you used when you signed up and made the payment.

  4. Verify your subscription status in SettingsAccount & Billing.

If you forgot which email you used to sign up, check your email inbox for the AutoDS registration confirmation email, or look for payment receipts from AutoDS. If you still cannot find it, please let us know and share your proof of payment so the AutoDS support team can verify your account.
