Why Does My Listing Have a Very High Source Price?

Not sure why your products are set to have a high source price? Read this article to understand the reason

When AutoDS cannot scrap the information from the source products, whether it is the price, shipping days, or the item's condition, it adds, as a protection, the sum of 133 or 266 to the source price (depending on your store currency).

In most cases, it happens when the data is missing in the source site or when an item is indeed out of stock.

Why there's a need to have this extra layer of protection for your product?

The reason is that it assures the buyers will not buy your product even if for some reason placing it as 'On Hold' (making it unavailable on the source site) was unsuccessful. This way, potential buyers interested in the item will not purchase it due to its high price. If they do, you will make an additional significant profit and you will need to make sure the items have all the correct details before you decide to ship them to your buyer.

What can I do if the product's pricing stays high for long?

You can decide whether you wish to keep the product in your store or to continue the upload of the item with this higher source price and wait for future scans to change it according to the new information gathered. A new scan is done on an hourly basis.

The suppliers we support are dynamic keep changing their pages and thus, requires us to keep updating the code to adapt to its changes. We are always making sure the results of the scan are accurate and up-to-date. If you believe something is wrong, please check our status page for updates on any irregular incidents.

You can check filter your products by price and by DWS = days without a sale. The result should give you a good picture of the items that do not sell in your store. You can select them and delete them from your AutoDS account and your selling platform and upload new ones instead.
