TikTok Store as a Selling Channel
TikTok has its own set of categories and when uploading a product on drafts using AutoDS, TikTok will recommend and assign a category to the products automatically, you can change it afterward. Also, TikTok as a selling channel has its own rules and set of requirements, some of which are the following:
Product Certification:
- Certain product categories now require a product certificate/qualification, this can be uploaded on the Product's tab, or in the Drafts. You can learn more about how to upload products here.
- Once a certificate/qualification is applied to one product, it will automatically apply to all products within the same category.
Here are some of the TikTok products that need certifications:
- Beauty and Personal Care Products
- Car Fragrance
- Consumer Medical Devices
- Electrical and Electronic Products

Size Chart Requirement:
- Some products also require a size chart. This can be uploaded in the “Image” tab.
Product Status:
- Once you upload products, they will be subjected to TikTok approval to be completely live on your store. Please keep an eye on your TikTok shop for this approval.

- For tracking numbers, there’s an important detail: it depends on whether TikTok supports the specific carrier used for shipping. For example, FedEx and USPS tracking numbers can be converted using the tracking generator, but only TikTok-supported carriers will have their tracking information automatically updated on the order. - TikTok Shop and TikTok as a supplier are two different things.
TikTok as a supplier is not supported for using the FBA service or auto-order automation. - Order Handling and Fulfillment: Whether you’re managing orders manually or using our automation tools (FBA Service or Auto-order), it’s essential that you configure your TikTok Shop to use the “Shipping by Seller” option. Here’s why:
When dropshipping, you should not choose the “TikTok Shipping” method. This option is intended for sellers with physical stock, as TikTok provides a shipping label. Instead, you need to select “Shipping by Seller,” this way you retain full control over the shipping process. You’ll simply need to provide the carrier and tracking number.
