How to convert tracking numbers automatically with Qtrack

Explore AutoDS’s built-in solution for tracking conversion and faster updates.

QTrack allows you to convert tracking numbers from US-based suppliers into a single, standardized format with a fixed ZIP code. This is particularly useful for dropshippers who want consistent tracking behavior and to avoid restrictions from platforms like eBay.

QTrack is currently supported only for Amazon AU, DE, FR, US, and UK.

  • eBay Delivery Updates: For eBay US, QTrack automatically updates orders as Shipped and Delivered, with the carrier marked as "Other".

  • Dropshipping Protection: Since QTrack is not officially recognized by eBay, it won’t flag you as a dropshipper. (Note: for non-eBay US regions, delivery updates won’t be automatic, but you can appeal cases using the tracking link.)

  • Multi-region Support: Works with AutoDS Supported Suppliers from the US, UK, France, Germany, and Australia using UPS, USPS, or FedEx.

  • Faster Tracking: Selecting “Convert all tracking numbers to QTrack (with ZIP code masquerade)” generates a tracking number as soon as the order status is Ordered on the AutoDS platform, helping avoid delays and selling channel restrictions like eBay.

Getting Started

QTrack offers two tracking conversion methods to fit your needs:

  1. Convert all tracking numbers to QTrack (with ZIP code masquerade)

    Recommended for faster tracking. When enabled, QTrack will generate a tracking number as soon as the order status becomes “Ordered” on the AutoDS platform, even before it ships.

    This helps prevent delays and selling channel restrictions (like eBay suspensions), since you’ll have a tracking number earlier.

    Note: If you’re using semi-automation (tracking updates only), the tracking number will only be generated once the order status changes to “Shipped”, not at the “Ordered” stage.

  2. Convert Amazon shipping carrier only to QTrack
    Only tracking numbers from Amazon Logistics (TBA) will be converted to QTrack.

    If you select this option, the tracking number will only be generated once the order status is “Shipped”, and only if the original tracking was from Amazon Logistics (TBA).

NOTE: QTrack assigns tracking numbers based on Amazon's actual ship date.

QTrack Settings

To enable QTrack:

  1. Go to Settings → Supplier Settings → Orders

  2. In Tracking Conversion, choose:

    • Convert all tracking numbers to QTrack (with ZIP code masquerade)

    • or Convert Amazon shipping carrier only to QTrack

  3. Then, go to Lister → Default ZIP code and set the origin ZIP code you want to display.

💡 Tip: Having a US-based ZIP code is recommended if you're using US suppliers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: I don’t want to automate my orders. Can I still use QTrack just for tracking conversion?

Yes, but you’ll need to use semi-automation. That means:

  • You place the order manually on Amazon.

  • You add the Buy Order ID and buyer account email to the order in AutoDS.

  • AutoDS will detect when the order is shipped and convert the tracking (if QTrack is selected).

You don’t need to enable full auto-order. However, QTrack cannot be triggered manually—you must set up tracking automation.


Q: I selected “Convert all tracking numbers to QTrack (with ZIP code masquerade)”, why didn’t I get a tracking number immediately?

QTrack will only generate a tracking number at the “Ordered” status if:

  • You’re using Auto-Orders or FBA, and

  • The order is from Amazon AU, DE, FR, US, or UK, and

  • You selected the full QTrack conversion option (not just for Amazon Logistics).


Q: What happens if I set up QTrack semi-automation but forget to enter the Buy Order ID?

You must edit the order and add the Buy Order ID because QTrack conversion depends on detecting the order details.


Q: Will eBay recognize QTrack tracking numbers?

QTrack is not officially recognized by eBay, which helps hide your dropshipping activity.

However:

  • For eBay US, AutoDS marks the order as Shipped and Delivered using QTrack.

  • For other eBay regions, you may need to manually provide the tracking link if there’s a case.


Q: I want to show all orders as shipped from the same location. How can I do this?

Go to Lister → Default ZIP Code and set the ZIP code you want to show on tracking pages.

QTrack will use this as the shipping origin.
