How to upload products to your Amazon store

Learn how to add products to your Amazon store

Introduction

When you finish registering and adding your first Amazon store in AutoDS, the system will prompt you to upload your first product.

This article explains how to upload single and multiple products to Amazon, how ASINs work, and what to know about approvals.

Benefits

  • Upload single or multiple products directly to Amazon through AutoDS.
  • Edit products before publishing or save them as drafts for later.

  • Bulk import products using multiple URLs, IDs, or CSV files.

  • Set up monitoring for price, stock, and orders during the upload process.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency by using ASINs when importing products.

Prerequisites

Before uploading products, make sure:

  • Your Amazon account is subscribed to the Professional Selling Plan.

  • Your Amazon store has regional permissions that match the region connected in AutoDS. For example, if you want to sell in the US or UK, these marketplaces must be approved in your Seller Central account.

  • You have the correct ASIN for each product you want to list.

Note: Products will only become active after Amazon’s approval. In some cases, you will see a yellow warning: “You need the approval to list; request Approval via Seller Center.” Click the link to request approval directly in Seller Central.

ASINs: what they are and how to use them

ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) is the unique ID Amazon uses to organize and link products in its catalog. It enables precise search, category filtering, and accurate syncing with Amazon’s system.

Most sellers don’t create new listings; they join an existing listing via its ASIN and appear under Other Sellers.

When uploading with AutoDS:

  • If the supplier is Amazon: provide the Amazon product URL or the ASIN.

  • If the supplier is another site (e.g., AliExpress): provide the supplier product URL/ID and the ASIN of the Amazon listing you want to join.

You can identify the ASIN of each product in Amazon’s catalog.Amazon Seller - ASIN

Variations: each product variant (size, color, etc.) has its own ASIN—enter the correct one for each variant. Some suppliers don’t show individual Buy IDs, which can limit full variation uploads.

To quickly capture a product’s Buy ID on a supported supplier site, use the AutoDS Helper Chrome Extension to detect the item and import it in one click; alternatively, copy the ID from the supplier product URL.
