How to convert your tracking numbers- the full guide

In this guide, we will explain the different conversion options you can choose from

Important ⚠️

🙂
AutoDS already has in place a unique solution for this:
eBay sellers can select to convert to Qtrack, our own trustworthy and robust service for tracking conversion.

Please note that Qtrack is a safe choice, and although it may result in some users losing their Top Seller status, it is a tracking that can win cases on eBay, meaning sellers using this service can keep their stores active and keep selling.

When dropshipping, eBay's item location policy can be a struggle for sellers who dropship from all around the world and have multiple locations for their items. The main reason is the policy wants you to provide clear and accurate information about where your item is located.

This information must include the postal code, city, and country from which the item is shipped. So, when you upload the tracking number to eBay, it must match the shipping location you provided in the listing.

Otherwise, it can affect your views, sales, and profits, and in the worst-case scenario, eBay might flag your account.

But no more - we at AutoDS have several solutions for you! 🤩

To help our sellers, we have integrations with BlueCare and QTrack. Systems that will make sure to convert all your tracking numbers coming from the different shipping carriers.

To better understand the comparison between the systems, pros/cons, and costs, follow the table below.

  • The system will attempt to generate a tracking number up to 3 times. If it fails, the original tracking number will be used.
  • Orders on the platform will not update to “Delivered” and will remain in “Shipped” status. We will notify you when this changes. However, orders will update to delivered status on your selling channels (e.g., eBay, Shopify).
  • Each conversion costs 1 AO credit. (in addition to the 1 AO credit if the order is auto-ordered).

Tracking update on selling channel

Whether you add tracking numbers manually or the system does it automatically, this is what your selling channel will display at each stage of the order process.

Tracking Updates - Selling Channels

NOTE: Currently, AutoDS will update the order status on your selling channel based on the rules and availability of each platform. Even if the supplier you chose provides tracking updates to AutoDS, your selling channel might not allow AutoDS to update statuses automatically.

That’s why the list above shows the tracking update rules for each selling channel. If your selling channel doesn’t allow automatic updates, you’ll need to manually update the status after checking the updates on your AutoDS account.

AutoDS does not update the status when the shipment is marked as "Delivered." Depending on your selling channel the status will update to Delivered by means:

  • Buyer confirming delivery
  • Manually updating to Delivered
  • Selling channel confirms delivery and updates the status to Delivered automatically

Important to know 📚

  • Suppliers without conversion support, but with tracking automation available, can have their status changed to 'Delivered' according to your settings (if you choose to enable it)
  • Without enabling the tracking automation, you will have to update the order status to 'Shipped' manually, and then the 'Delivered' status will be updated to your store according to the settings shown above.
