When you add the Best Offer option to your eBay listings, you’re inviting buyers to negotiate with you. After a buyer makes an offer, you can choose to accept, decline, or make a counteroffer. If you want to encourage buyers interested in your items to make a purchase, you can also send them offers. You can read more about this eBay feature here.
Important to know 📚
In general, AutoDs does not support this feature. Prices change according to monitoring suppliers along with your pricing settings, so AutoDS will not monitor what you approve or accept on eBay.
It is also recommended not to use this working method for a dropshipping business model.
If you still choose to work with this feature, you might encounter these errors when the system tries to make changes to stock/price, or when you are trying to edit the listing:
Quick jump
⚠️eBay error: you can not edit this product as it has bid or active 'best offer' or is ending in 12 hours.
Reason:
- If the listing is an auction, eBay will not allow changes to the listing if there is less than 12 hours left before bidding finishes.
- If the listing is a fixed price item, you might have a pending best offer from a customer which needs to be addressed before you can make changes to the listing.
Workaround: Go to your eBay account and see if there is an open bid or offer on the listing. If there is, make sure to respond to it, and then try to edit the listing again. (Or in case of monitoring error, wait one hour for the system to complete monitoring scan and reprice your listing).
⚠️eBay error: The 'Best Offer' Auto Decline Price cannot be greather or equal to Buy It Now price.
⚠️eBay error: The 'Best Offer' Auto Accept Price must be less then the But It Now price.
Reason: You have turned on Auto Decline/Auto Accept settings for the listing(S). However, the calculated selling price that AutoDS is trying to change the item to is lower than your auto decline amount so eBay is rejecting the change.
For example, you have set Auto Accept Price of $10, and the system is trying to change the buy it now price to $8 (which is lower), in response to supplier price changes and your pricing settings.
- Automatically accept offers of at least
- Automatically decline offers lower than
